Microbial Ecology for Sustainability

Second South Asian Symposium on Microbial Ecology 2023 (SASME 2023)

Date: 1-3 November, 2023

Venue: Himalaya Drishya Resort, Dhulikhel, Nepal

Microbial Ecology Network-Nepal, in association with Tribhuvan University, is organizing the second South Asian Symposium on Microbial Ecology, 2023 (SASME 2023) in Kathmandu, Nepal, on November 1-3, 2023. The key objective of this symposium is to bring South Asian microbial ecologists and students together to share recent advances in the wider perspective of microbial ecology in this region, promote the young students and researchers building their research capacity and celebrate the achievements of under-represented researchers, including women scientists in the field. The program includes scientific symposia, student and early career researchers-focused workshops, panel discussions on achievements and issues of women microbial ecologists, and many more. The thematic areas of the symposium are Microbes and Humans, Microbes and Environment, Microbial Interactions, Ecology of Microbial Pathogens and Antibiotic Resistance, Microbiomes, Applied Microbial Ecology, Role of Microorganisms in Sustainable Development, and Microbial Ecology for Society.

It is our pleasure to invite you to SASME 2023 and look forward to welcoming you to Kathmandu in November 2023.
